Spicy Little Mermaid

My entry for the "Chicks who Draw Chicks" calendar over on conceptart.org. I'm very happy to say that she was (just barely) selected to be Miss June and that she will be printed in the Calendar! Eeeheehee! Imagine FX should be doing a little write-up about the whole competition, so keep your eyes peeled for the next issue!

The Celestial GoldPug:

Centuries of careful inbreeding and the adding of selected contaminants in the breeding pools has brought us the inquisitive Celestial GoldPug. Once a pet reserved for royalty, the Celestial GoldPug, so named for it's skyward-facing eyes, thrives in most any PH of water and makes an excellent first pet for small children. Over the recent decades, however, it has developed an unexplained fear of airplanes and turkey...

The GulperPug, so named because it resembles the gulper eel, inhabits the "twilight zone" of the ocean. It feeds upon stray CuttlePug and carrion, not excluding the occassional WhalePug carcass that drops from the upper oceanic zones. Sorry for the lack of sketch yesterday, I was in training all day for a sprite animation class. Bleh.

ShalI make up for it today by introducing you to one of nature's most understood sea creatures?

This is the pugfish. This is what happens when a pug dog meets a goosefish and both animals are a lil tipsy and lonely. Gentle, noble... adorbaly homely.

Well gang, I've decided to create a blog just for my sketches and brain farts. Always check
Flying Clam finished works and professional goodies, as this blog will be the stomping grounds of quick ideas and experimentation.

And so, I bring you today's sketch of my own two ratties, Popke and Puddin'! We have a sketch-a-day thing at work, and since Flash is so readily available there, a lot of my works will be all vector-y.

See you guys soon!
